[2016 Drama] Please Love the Useless Me (Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai) - Episode 08

Wooo~ I finally finished off a really REALLY busy week full of exams and rehearsals!!! :D

Then I found this episode to be the BEST of the whole series!!! LOVE IT! So funny and the flow was great. There wasn't any part that I found to be super unreasonable or slow. 

It reflected on the rating as well!

Two episodes left! If we keep up with the good pace and keep going up in rating, we might be able to see a 10% average(?!) or at least 9.5% ;) - already highest of that time slot, no pressure hahaha

As always, Fukakyon is gorgeous and deadly cute in all the scenes <3

Anyways~ let's start!! 

Episode started with Michiko being confused about why Akira is kicking her out of the apartment back to Shinin's - we all know she sensed the chemistry and Michiko's crush ;) BUT Akira was also right. If two girls comfortably live together for too long, neither of them will get married down the road...AND she can't wait no longer.

The awkward moment when your co-worker ex becomes your "friend". Seriously... if you two weren't really friends to begin with it does NOT work... The fact that the guy has not given up yet also means this isn't working. At least Mogami can now be more natural/ himself around Shibata because he doesn't have to look cool all the time.

What's worst than your gossiping co-worker announcing your break up in public with such a high decibel level...

 I love manager's face as always.

 In attemped to comfort Shibata: she shared about her own encounter with her BF after her previous break up lol. She doesn't do over time cuz she's gotta go home and make dinner :P.

 The manager: "if you work hard, your life flashes/passes quickly" LOL OMG. Sounds really sad/scary...

Akira wasted no time to move all of Shibata's stuff back to Sunflower Cafe. They agree she's one of the most troublesome single female ranked in the top 10 (Akira) /top 3(Shunin). She's gonna try not to be the winner LOL

Adorable A5 + Fukakyon~~ The kitty actually HUGS her!!! I don't know who I'm more jealous here lol. I wanna be the kitty AND her hahaha so cute~~~<3

 Falling in love with your landlord is NOT easy, Michiko started to stare at him, and likes everything he does lol. It's so funny that she's pining for him~~~

She remembers that she shouldn't stare at an ex gang member cuz that's obviously looking for a fight LOL. Then he comments on how she's too old for the "bulitsuko" (cutesie cute) style LOL
Shots fired....

Rejoice! The awesome free breakfast is back!!! Seriously, when I move onto Vancouver Island and someone does this for me, I'm probably gonna fall for him, too :P

 She said left overs are too wasteful and what she's doing is being sustainable - I approve!

 He then mocks her on how she left some rice on her cloths for the next meal hahahaha. She then realized, no matter what he says makes her happy :P someone's in huge trouble/love.

 This is why u should never tell your parents right away when you have a BF... Of course, your parents have the right to know, but people break up over little things... a lot of engagements were broken during the wedding planning... I guess, being DAME, she can't even handle her own family being disappointed in her further... poor girl...Her mom now is asking her to bring her "fiance" home lol without her saying they're engaged...

Akira, of course, suggests Shibata to just ask Shinin for help. She thinks they're a good match lol. Like a parent looking after a kid ;). She admits that wishing the happiness of an ex probably means that she's over him...

Now, Terry, in attempt to help volunteers to be her fiance when Shibata was about to ask Shunin. Pochi (the bold guy) also said he could help. However, neither of them are good candidate.

 We're now looking at this guy~ WOW. He's more my type than Shunin is... such a good looking young man! BUT his gang talk style ending with "su" can't be mended and even infected Shibata lol.  Shunin wonder why Shibata had to bluff/lie to her family. She said if she doesn't she'd be forced to go on blind dates LOL nightmare of all Asian girls ;).  He thinks blind date is a better idea... seriously man, u don't know what kind of guys your auntie and your mom are into= =... let me give u some insight- MEN WE DON'T WANNA MARRY.

 When it comes to assigning roles, Shunin ran away LOL.

 Back to Michiko's home town... she was trying to explain how her "fiance" couldn't make it due to work to her family in disbelief hahaha

 Shunin then turns up and saves her a**~~~

 Naturally, he learned everything Michiko taught about her family the day before and behaved perfectly.

 Had some hiccups when asked "what do you like about Michiko" by her mom. LOL Michiko is all happy and stuff. He's like " out going.... eats a lot... really eats a lot... " hahahah Then he finally came up with "no matter what people says, she wouldn't give up." " I think she's ...........*difficulty* cute..."

 Just look~ how happy this girl is :D she IS really cute!!!

 Then when Michiko's sister asked, "that described a lot of girls, why Michiko?" He tried really hard to come up with "because I.... like her?" HAHAHAHA wow, good job man!

 He had to pinch her in the foot to make her snap out of it. XD

 Michiko was wondering why he came. Apparently the old customer told him that "lying is also a way of showing love. And only you can help her protect this love." Obviously, he didn't tell her the truth and said "because I like temples" LOL. Then Michiko is like "NICE weird habit!" (u guys are a pair made in heaven it seems hahaha).

 This scene is so pretty with the snow. Shibata is now worried about the cafe, Shunin just said he left them to the rest of the crew ;)

They came across her middle high and she's like " wow, it's been like 10 years" Shunin then fired a shot: "u mean couple of ten years" HAHAH

 She saw an unwilling teenage being peer pressured to enter the school, and decided to go in to see what they're up to. Of course, the school looks real creepy at night. When she tries to make him stop saying scary things, he's pushed her away hahaha.

 She being a dame obasang (useless auntie) tried to stop the kids from spray painting the black board. They first mocked her age (Japanese people, tsk tsk.) then they try to rob her money (lol... she said " if you start taking money from females at this age, you are going to grow up to do marriage frauds and ruin women's lives") Piano sonata "Moonlight" was played and the kids were scared this was the "cursed piano" that could kill them in 1 month after they hear it....

 Shibata then went and find Shunin, obviously, he's playing the piano... Seriously tho, is there anything Dean CAN'T DO?! His fingers and feet looks like he knows how to play piano for real. WOAH. I think at that point it's not really just "Shunin, itai nanimono desuka?" (Shunin, what are you?) It's really Dean - what are you?! I love guys who plays the piano and violin, I seriously... LOVE guys in languages, music, dance and computer. Basically, if I can find someone who does all of that, I'd marry him like right away :P

 Shunin expressed his annoyance of her depending on him/ causing him trouble whenever she takes on problems she can't fix... Mainly, she wants her to think more about her actions.

 She explained her motive to help that one kid who didn't want to do bad and apologized. Then she took note of the sad tone of "Moonlight". He then said that's the song his brother played best. He expressed how his brother is better than him at everything and a liar hard for people to hate.

Due to Michiko's recommendation, the two women started eating at the restaurant the glasses co-worker recommended. They run into each other finally and Haruko told Akira about Michiko & Shunin being at her home town lol. Haruko then really really KO (kouki yomenai - don't know how to read the atmosphere) asked Akira why she broke up with Shunin. LOL. Of course, being Akira , she's not gonna go like "because of YOU! B*TCH!" LOL She then attributed it to how Shunin didn't tell her about quitting his job to open the cafe and she can no longer over look things she tried to cover up for love.

Haruko then insert how Shunin's brother wanted Shunin to live freely so voluntarily took on the role to inherit the family business (that didn't work out in this drama, did it... but in manga he's alive so that worked). Turns out , this is a major reason why Shunin must open that cafe - to repay his brother's kindness and follow his will.

 Akira then panicked about how she is old and has nothing/no boyfriend and is useless (oh, come on, you are a store manager, u have an apartment- you're far from useless). Haruko then encouraged her saying not owning anything meaning you'll experience a lot of new things for the first time. (wow. I really would slap this B if I heard this, but Akira took it well by thinking "why couldn't u be someone who's more hateful?!"

 The parents of course arranged only one room for the "couple" lol. Japanese people aren't as reserved as they look from the surface. My parents would never do this :P He stopped her from moving back to her room because it may raise suspicion . Michiko then starts repeating what Shunin said he liked about her LOL ultimately getting herself a pillow-hit.

It's then bath time /hot spring time. Shunin wonders what he's doing lol.

Michiko was gonna pull the two beddings away from each other, but she decided to do what she wanted and just pushed them together hahaha. Shunin didn't give a sh*t tho :P

 When Michiko brought back the beer, Shunin apparently was "deep asleep" (don't even, he's faking it lol). He opened his eyes when she "drunk kissed" him.

 Wow. Michiko does NOT have a good sleeping habit... but she's adorable saying "I love sirloin beef" HAHAHAHA

 Grandmother's memorial was carried. Michiko prayed to her that Shunin didn't remember about the kiss. Right after tho, he asked about it lol saying "So you're a kissing maniac after you're drunk?" Then to her slight disappointment, he said it's "no count" AGAIN lol.

 The real test comes when the dad said "are you willing to inherit the temple? " to Shunin. Which he rejected. Saying he will do his best to make Michiko happy.

 When asked about why he had to open the cafe, Michiko helped by saying how Shunin's cafe became a place where she can find comfort in.

 Shunin then goes on to say how his family has a business/company which his brother inherited (if MY parents hear about that from my fiance, I bet their eyes would light up instantly LOL). He expressed that he wanted to repay his brothers' kindness by living freely as he wishes.

 The dad then revealed, he didn't intend on him inheriting the temple lol. Just a test, young man ;).

 He also revealed how the temple almost became a zoo because Michiko brings home random animals :P He expressed his worries that Michiko may bring home some marriage fraud LOL to which she was like " I really can't argue with that"

 Shunin then complimented by saying Michiko can hear the tiny voices of people's heart when they are in trouble or has something bothering them. Honestly, I think she's really sensitive this way. Although she's quite stupid (to be honest) in life, she is a wise listener who gets people's real emotions and feelings. This is probably why Shunin, a real introvert and someone who doesn't speak of anything he's feeling or thinking is drawn to her.

So, the dance Michiko forgot to mention...

 IS THIS!!! HAHAHAHA Belly dancing (with painted face....?)

 When he's all ready to give up resisting and do his best...

 Michiko has to stop him and revealed that he's not really her fiance/BF ... Wat~ girl!!! we wanna see Shunin belly dancing!!! Shunin complained - why did u have to ruin it at this point?! He's came this far to help! She then said she wants to see him belly dance, but it's taking things really far and she'll feel to guilty, sorry for this.
He then said "there are so many other things you should be sorry to me about anyways" LOL.

Sisters are really sensitive and of course, can't be fooled. The grandpa knew, as well of course, pointing out her parents were blinded by their love and care for Michiko. Grandpa however, expressed gratitude on Shunin's effort to help Michiko - obviously, they know there's something there.

Before they leave when Michiko is gathering her stuff, her mom did what MY MOM always do- embarrass me!!! LOL She's like " I can guarantee, that kid's body has no problem" *clear throat*

 Yeah, that'd be the face any guy hears that lol. Come on, it's Fukakyon, her body AND face are both perfect ;)

 The mom then jokingly said "I mean she's healthy" hahahahaha right, mom, right.

 The sister of course has to insult her sister by saying how Michiko is a bit of disappointment, but she's a nice person. In which, Shunin replied " I know" . AW~~<3

 Just looking at this pair makes me happy. Whoever said Fukakyon can't act.. .I mean she might not be the best actress or even someone worthy of being a protagonist all the time, but she can really work that real chemistry with whoever she has to. With Mogami, she can make us see that Michiko was a bit attracted, a bit confused, trying a bit hard. While with Shunin, all Michiko's girly crush side and uncontrollable attraction was in the air. This girl can do love comedy like a pro man! Also, who can think of anyone more suitable than her for a manga heroine ;). At this point, I am curious if she was Nodame even tho I LOVE Ueno Juri to death , too. Just curious :P.

 JUST SO PRETTY!!! She's like a painting.

Shunin complimented her family and said they're not bad. He then rationalized that's how she became who she is now, a naive useless 30 yo woman who's outgoing and optimistic. LOL He actually does mean well and was complimenting her this time tho ;)

 Michiko then thanked Shunin for helping her.

 He then announce her to be the top 1 most troublesome women in Japan for single women category.

 Shunin, being the nice/warm person said "wish you can enter the married category"

 Shibata, hit with that bit of gentleness decided to speak out her heart:

" Please Marry Me~!!!!" OMG!!! U go girl! Nowadays, girls should be cool and take this initiative, not waiting for guys to eventually pop the question. This is TOO sudden tho LOL. What the heck, why not confess first~ but she's DAME, so I guess it works out

 When he stepped forward, I thought he was gonna flick her forhead or something to make her wake up. What delusion is this woman in hahaha?!

 To her surprise (?! really?! girl?) he rejected outright. She was like "shouldn't he just accept this with the flow?!" hahahaha

I can't wait for the next episode, being late on the recap this week means I only have about a few more hours until I see the next episode- works out well~ 

I think this series just keeps getting better. Too bad it's only got 10 ep... after the abrupt plot turn last week, I don't think we'll be too rushed into the rest of the story line tho :)

To be honest, I never really like it when television stations extend a series by adding like 2 episodes, but for this one, I don't know, I feel like it just wasn't enough. Maybe do some SPs? :D

Anyhow, I'll see all of you tomorrow on our next episode's post~
